Bengaluru: Revenue minister R Ashok, home minister Basavaraj R Bommai, chief secretary TM Vijay Bhaskar will participate in a video conference called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the prevailing flood situation in Karnataka.
The video conference is scheduled at 11.30 am.
“As CM BS Yediyurappa is in the hospital for Covid 19 treatment, ministers and officers are participating in the video conference with the Prime Minister,” said sources.
R Ashok informed that the survey on the loss due to the flood, landslides and rain is yet to be completed. “Before the video conference, a meeting of the senior officials has been called to discuss what all shall be demanded from the central government,” he said.
On Sunday, during a visit to battered Kodagu district, Ashok said that during the meeting, the PM will be briefed about the situation and a demand for additional funds will be made.
