Bengaluru: In an explosive revelation, BJP national general secretary C T Ravi confirmed that discussions to change the name of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) to Vivekananda University are ongoing.
“Yes, it is true that discussions are on to rename JNU,” he said.
“Nehru was a freedom fighter and the first prime minister of India. However, there are thousands of institutions in his name across the country. Vivekananda is an inspiration for all of us. We can easily compare who is greater,” he said.
While on the topic of the RSS, he stated that Congress leader Siddaramaiah is welcome to attend any RSS shakha to find out more about the organization. “He doesn’t know any thing about the RSS. So, he is making baseless allegations,” he said.
