Belagavi Airport (IXG) has achieved a remarkable milestone, catering to over 3.47 lakh travelers in the past year. This milestone highlights the airport’s increasing significance as a key regional aviation hub.

As per the most recent air traffic data, December 2024 saw a surge in passenger flow, reaching 29,080, marking a 19.56% rise from November. The revival of morning flights connecting Bengaluru and Belagavi has been a crucial factor in this uptrend. The airport currently links eight cities through IndiGo and Star Air, significantly enhancing its appeal to travelers.

Aircraft movements in December totaled 442, while cargo handling stood at 3.1 metric tons (MT). Over the past 12 months, the airport recorded 5,591 aircraft operations and managed 27.3 MT of cargo.

Belagavi Airport facilitates non-stop flights to eight destinations. IndiGo serves Bengaluru (twice daily), Delhi, and Hyderabad, operating daily. Meanwhile, Star Air connects Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Jaipur, and Tirupati.

With expanding flight routes and increased passenger volumes, the airport is fast becoming a pivotal gateway for regional travel, boosting economic growth and accessibility.
