Bengaluru actor Darshan was admitted to a private hospital in Kengeri on Friday, just days after being granted bail on medical grounds related to the alleged murder of his fan, Renukaswamy. Reports indicate that he sought medical attention due to persistent pain in his back and legs, and he was accompanied by his wife, Vijayalakshmi.
Dr. Naveen Appaji Gowda, who is overseeing Darshan’s treatment, reported, “His left leg is weak. We are considering the next steps. Although we haven’t started a detailed investigation yet, we’ve conducted examinations and will proceed accordingly.” Dr. Gowda also noted that the actor suffers from back pain.
Darshan’s lawyer previously stated that the actor was experiencing numbness in both feet and requested permission for surgery at a private facility in Mysuru. On October 30, the Karnataka High Court granted him interim bail for six weeks on medical grounds.
Dr. Gowda elaborated on the treatment plan, indicating that they will conduct an MRI, X-ray, and blood tests. “We need to redo the MRI since we don’t have his previous films or reports. After the investigations, we will determine whether an operation is necessary or if physiotherapy will suffice.”
Darshan, along with fellow actor Pavithra Gowda, faces charges related to the kidnapping and murder of 33-year-old Renukaswamy. Following his release, he visited his wife at her home in Hosakere village in Tumukuru.
