A 21-year-old woman has alleged that bouncers at JustBLR Resto Bar on Brigade Road assaulted her and two male friends during a visit on July 14. Based on her complaint, Cubbon Park police arrested two bouncers—Hriday Debnath (25) from West Tripura and Dipen Khatri (24) from Nepal. Both were released on station bail the same day.

According to the victim, she visited the bar with her sister, boyfriend, and another friend around 3:30 PM. After dining on the first floor and paying the bill, she and her boyfriend moved to the ground level, where the confrontation reportedly began.

Her boyfriend stated that a bouncer was staring at his girlfriend inappropriately. When he politely questioned the behavior, the bouncer allegedly responded with abuse and punched him. Their friend attempted to intervene and was also attacked. The woman was pushed while trying to de-escalate the situation.

As the group left the bar, the accused bouncer and two others allegedly followed and assaulted them again on the pavement. The attackers reportedly wore ring-like objects resembling knuckle dusters, causing facial injuries to the victims.

A police patrol team detained two of the suspects, while the third escaped. The victims claimed they were held at the police station until midnight and were advised to seek medical help. A case has been registered under BNS Sections 78 (stalking), 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 126 (wrongful restraint).
