Kempegowda International Airport has introduced a major upgrade at Terminal 1 with the launch of a new security check zone aimed at improving passenger convenience and reducing waiting time.

Airport authorities said the upgraded setup includes additional security lanes to help passengers move faster through security checks, especially during peak travel hours.

Faster and smoother passenger movement

The newly introduced security zone also includes dedicated services for passengers requiring special assistance and improved support for faster domestic flight transfers.

A separate lane has also been introduced for travellers who pre-book security slots through the Pulse app, allowing quicker access through security screening.

Officials said the initiative is part of the airport’s efforts to make travel more efficient, comfortable, and seamless for the thousands of passengers using the airport every day.

‘Bengaluru’s Soul’ sculpture attracts attention

Meanwhile, the airport has also drawn attention for a large art installation titled Bengaluru’s Soul located at Terminal 2.

The 16-foot sculpture was created by renowned Spanish artist Jaume Plensa and features interlaced alphabets and symbols from multiple languages.

Made of painted stainless steel, the installation reflects Bengaluru’s cultural diversity and creative spirit while offering visitors a striking visual experience upon arrival.

Airport focuses on passenger experience

Kempegowda International Airport has continued expanding its infrastructure and passenger facilities in recent years as Bengaluru witnesses increasing domestic and international air traffic.

Airport authorities say the latest upgrades are designed to improve operational efficiency while enhancing the overall travel experience.
