Bengaluru’s Airport City is set for a major transformation, with real estate developer Prestige Group announcing an investment of around ₹1,800 crore for a large mixed-use development near the city’s international airport.

Airport City gets a major boost

The project, being developed in partnership with Bangalore International Airport Limited, will include business, hospitality, entertainment and retail facilities designed to create a vibrant urban destination within the airport corridor.

One of the standout features will be a convention and exhibition centre capable of hosting around 8,000 people, making it one of the largest event venues in the region.

Hotels, offices and lifestyle spaces planned

The development will also feature luxury hotels, premium office spaces, retail outlets, restaurants and lifestyle destinations. The aim is to create an integrated ecosystem where people can work, stay, conduct business and enjoy leisure activities in a single location.

Construction is expected to begin in early 2027 and will form a key part of the long-term expansion plans for Bengaluru Airport City.

A new growth engine for north Bengaluru

With rapid development taking place around Kempegowda International Airport, the Airport City project is emerging as one of Bengaluru’s most important commercial growth corridors.

Industry experts believe such developments will strengthen Bengaluru’s position as a global business destination while attracting international conferences, exhibitions and investments.

According to airport officials, the next phase of urban growth will depend on creating destinations that bring together businesses, talent and innovation at scale, with Airport City expected to play a significant role in that vision.
