A 28-year-old man, Moshin, succumbed to injuries sustained from a cooker blast in JP Nagar 5th Phase, Bengaluru, on Wednesday morning. The explosion, which also injured his 24-year-old roommate, Samir, occurred while they were cooking on Tuesday.

Authorities, including the National Investigation Agency, Internal Security Division, and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, investigated the incident due to its proximity to Independence Day celebrations. However, the police have ruled out any connection to terrorism, confirming it as a cooking mishap. The incident has been attributed to a malfunction or mishandling of the cooker.

Moshin and Samir, originally from Uttar Pradesh, were employed at a local salon. Police Commissioner B. Dayananda confirmed the explosion was accidental and not related to any explosive materials or terror activity.
