A couple from Bengaluru has gone viral after revealing how they planned a memorable 12-day trip to South Korea for ₹2.75 lakh, turning their K-drama travel dream into reality.

According to a report by LiveMint, Jiwangi Singh and Milan Tanna carefully balanced comfort and cost while exploring Seoul, Busan and Gyeongju during the autumn season.

Planned for peak autumn beauty

The couple said they began planning two to three months in advance to coincide with Korea’s famous autumn foliage.

They travelled in November, enjoying colourful landscapes in places like Gyeongju and Nami Island, which they described as breathtaking.

Smart savings, meaningful splurges

Their biggest expense was around ₹1 lakh for direct return flights from Delhi. To reduce other costs, they used buses, metros and airport public transport instead of taxis.

They also prepared quick breakfasts at their Airbnb and chose buses over high-speed trains on some routes to save money.

K-drama moments come alive

The couple visited Seoul neighbourhoods like Hongdae and Myeongdong, known for vibrant streets and cafés. They also enjoyed a picnic by the Han River.

In Busan, they tried popular attractions such as the Sky Capsule, Air Cruise and Beach Train.

Travel dreams on a budget

Their story has resonated with many young Indians, showing that international holidays can be achievable with thoughtful planning, early bookings and clear priorities.

For many readers, it was not just a holiday story, but a reminder that dream trips can begin with disciplined budgeting.
