The Bengaluru police are investigating a case involving an unidentified man who allegedly harassed a woman by persistently offering her drinks at a well-known resto-bar in Kadubeesanahalli. The incident unfolded around 10 p.m., prompting the woman to raise an alarm when the man ignored her refusals. Security staff escorted him out, but the woman later claimed the bouncers aided his escape. Authorities stated they have clues to identify the perpetrator. Interestingly, the woman reportedly bit the bouncers during the altercation, though no charges have been filed against her.
In another case, an autorickshaw driver named Kushal was discovered unconscious with serious head injuries near Kadapaswamy Mutt in Kempapura Agrahara around 3 a.m. on Wednesday. Police, alerted by a passerby, rushed Kushal to a hospital. Investigations suggest Kushal had an argument with someone after partying, leading to the suspect attacking him with a stone and fleeing. A case of attempted murder has been registered, and a search is underway.
Meanwhile, during New Year’s celebrations in Koramangala, the police reunited a missing two-year-old boy with his parents amidst a crowd of nearly one lakh revelers. The child, belonging to street vendor parents, was found crying. Officers circulated his photo online, and with the help of partygoers, the parents were located within an hour. Officials lauded the event’s tight security, which ensured minimal disruptions.
