Bengaluru: A tragic incident at a five-star hotel near Kempegowda International Airport has left two young sisters, aged five and 10, dead. Police are investigating their father’s alleged involvement in the deaths.
The man, identified by police as 40-year-old SG Imran, was also found injured inside the hotel room and was taken to a private hospital. Police said he is now out of danger.
Police investigate family dispute
According to investigators, the children were found dead inside the hotel room after security personnel were alerted. Police have recovered a note from the room that reportedly refers to a marital dispute and allegations concerning the man’s wife.
However, officers have cautioned that the contents of the note are still being verified and that it would be premature to establish the motive behind the deaths. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
The police are examining the hotel booking details, statements and other evidence as part of the investigation. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
Children’s deaths shock Bengaluru
The two girls were residents of Nagawara in north Bengaluru. Their deaths have caused shock and grief, particularly because of their young ages.
