In a shocking incident, a Bengaluru man named Deven Mehta reported being attacked by a group of goons while driving on a busy street at Kudlu around 7 PM. He shared videos and images of the attack, which showed the assailants breaking his car windows and threatening both him and a woman inside the vehicle, all while a traffic police officer allegedly stood by without intervening.

Deven’s post, now limited, drew widespread attention and frustration from social media users, who expressed their discontent with the rising crime rate in the city and the perceived inaction of law enforcement. One user criticized the Bengaluru City Police, stating, “Congratulations. The city has gone to the dogs. Your inaction and silence on such matters is deafening.” Another remarked on the alarming frequency of such incidents, saying, “It’s becoming very common now, earlier we rarely saw such news.”

In response to the outcry, the Bengaluru City Police’s social media team requested more details from Deven to take action, stating, “We have informed concerned police officers for necessary action.” However, many users remained skeptical about the effectiveness of the police response, suggesting that the goons operate with impunity.

Earlier this week, another disturbing video circulated online showing a family attacked by a biker, which left a child injured inside their car. The man involved, identified as Naveen Reddy, was later arrested and faces multiple charges.

While Deven chose not to disclose personal details, he stated that he does not feel safe and shared the videos to raise awareness and caution among other drivers in Bengaluru.
