A 37-year-old man from Banasawadi, identified as S Madan, was arrested for allegedly forcibly kissing two women near Milton Park in Bengaluru’s Pulakeshinagar on June 6, police confirmed. Madan, reportedly diagnosed with anxiety and depression, had quit his private sector job and currently lives with his parents and sister.

According to a 41-year-old homemaker who filed the complaint, the ordeal began while she was walking in the park with her child and a friend. She recounted that a stranger approached her, blocked her path, and made inappropriate comments: “Come, I am single… hug me.” He then allegedly kissed her without consent. Shocked, she fled to a more crowded area and raised an alarm.

However, the accused reportedly targeted another woman—aged 28—within 100 meters, blocking her way and forcibly kissing and groping her. This second victim suffered a lip injury. The accused then fled the scene but not before allegedly taunting the women, saying in Kannada, “Go complain to the police. I fear no one.”

CCTV footage helped police trace Madan, who had traveled by BMTC bus. Though caught soon after, he created a disturbance at the station—yelling, using abusive language, and allegedly trying to assault officers. He was produced in court and remanded to 14-day judicial custody.

Police are investigating further, with mental health concerns also being taken into account.
