In Bengaluru, the Soladevanahalli police have arrested Shoaib Pasha, a resident of Araseikere in Hassan district, for a series of burglaries involving gold ornaments and laptops. Pasha, who has a criminal record with five prior theft cases, was apprehended after an investigation into recent break-ins.
Authorities recovered stolen items valued at ₹8 lakh, including 101 grams of gold jewelry, two laptops, and the two-wheeler Pasha used during the crimes.
The investigation revealed that Pasha traveled from Araseikere to Nelamangala by train and bike to target locked houses, executing the thefts at night. Clues gathered from CCTV footage led to his identification and arrest. Pasha was detained near Kunigal Bypass Road in Nelamangala and admitted to the crimes during questioning.
Further searches at Pasha’s residence and a pawn shop led to the recovery of an additional 51 grams of gold jewelry, bringing the total amount of recovered gold to 152 grams.
