On Monday, Bengaluru’s Central Crime Branch (CCB) was struck by tragedy when police inspector Thimmegowda was found dead in Ramanagara. The body was discovered hanging from a tree in a remote area under the jurisdiction of the Bidadi police. The Ramanagara Superintendent of Police (SP), Karthik Reddy, and his team arrived at the scene to investigate.
Initial reports indicate that the incident occurred in a secluded spot, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding Thimmegowda’s death. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of death and gather more details.
This incident follows closely on the heels of another police-related death in Yadgir on Saturday. In that case, a police sub-inspector’s death led to an FIR naming Yadgir Congress MLA Chennareddy Patil Tunnur and his son Pampangouda Sunny Gowda. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has taken on the investigation in Yadgir.
The Bengaluru police and the public are awaiting further updates on both cases as investigations proceed. The deaths have raised concerns and speculation about the safety and circumstances surrounding law enforcement officers in the region.
