On Saturday, Bengaluru hosted a 21.1 km walk along its footpaths, with 50 participants, 36 of whom completed the entire route. The event was the finale of the BLRWalkFest, which saw over 1,400 people walking 100 km of interconnected footpaths between December 1-15. The festival aimed to assess footpath health and help citizens achieve fitness goals. Arun Pai of BangaloreWALKS emphasized the event’s success in promoting pedestrian infrastructure improvements and community health. Despite some obstacles, participants appreciated the well-maintained footpaths, with few areas requiring improvement.
