A fatal accident occurred on Thursday in Anekal near Junglepalya, Bannerghatta, involving a BMTC bus, a two-wheeler, and a Tata Ace vehicle. KB Prasad Rao, a 60-year-old native of Andhra Pradesh, died on the spot after being hit by the bus. He was standing by the roadside when the accident occurred.

The BMTC bus, heading towards Bengaluru, swerved to avoid a biker and collided with the two-wheeler and Tata Ace. The impact was severe, leading to the death of Prasad Rao. Three others, including two bikers and a bus passenger, sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police have arrested the BMTC bus driver in connection with the accident. A case has been registered at Bannerghatta police station, and an investigation is underway. The wreckage of the bus and Tata Ace was cleared using a crane. The accident has raised concerns about road safety in the area, urging authorities to take preventive measures against future incidents.
