The daughter of former Karnataka police chief Om Prakash allegedly vandalised a milk parlour near her residence in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout on Monday evening, police said.

Kriti, who is the daughter of ex-DG&IGP Om Prakash—found murdered at his home in April—reportedly entered the shop and stood silently without placing any order.

The shopkeeper, speaking in a video recorded by a bystander, said, “Since there were other customers waiting, I requested her to move aside. That seemed to provoke her, and she began damaging my shop. She also tried to assault me.”

Following the brief scuffle, Kriti left the scene and returned to her apartment. The incident was captured by the parlour’s CCTV camera, and several locals filmed her as she walked away.

The shopkeeper contacted the 112 emergency helpline, prompting police patrol teams to visit the spot. Officials have filed a non-cognisable report (NCR) and launched an inquiry into the episode.

According to sources, Kriti was at home when her father was allegedly killed by her mother, Pallavi, during a heated argument. After the incident, Pallavi was remanded in judicial custody, and Kriti has since been living alone.

Her brother, Karthikesh, had previously informed investigators that both Kriti and Pallavi were battling depression.

Police said they are reviewing CCTV evidence and witness statements to decide on further action.
