Bengaluru: Two individuals, Bhavesh and Niranjan, both 20-year-old residents of the area, were apprehended by Kothanur police for displaying weapons during a school sports event held on Tuesday at Government High School in Bileshivale.
A video capturing the suspects wielding sticks, with one seen holding a dagger, circulated widely online, leading to their identification and subsequent arrest.
According to police reports, the suspects disrupted a kho kho tournament due to dissatisfaction with a referee’s decision.
The incident has stirred strong reactions among local residents, prompting immediate intervention by law enforcement authorities.
