An elderly couple, Chandrashekar (54) and his wife Sharada (45), were found dead in their residence in the Byappanahalli area of Bengaluru, reportedly by suicide following a recent family conflict. The incident was discovered on Monday at around 6:30 pm when their younger son returned home from a nearby store.

According to the police, the couple’s elder son Prashanth had married Deeksha three months ago, and the newlyweds lived with the family. However, Deeksha allegedly did not get along with her in-laws, leading to frequent domestic disputes. Attempts by family elders to mediate and resolve the issues failed as Deeksha refused to participate in a compromise meeting and subsequently left the house.

Although no death note was found, the family’s complaint suggests that the ongoing domestic conflict involving Deeksha may have contributed to Chandrashekar and Sharada’s decision to end their lives.

The Byappanahalli police have registered the case and initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.
