The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted foggy mornings, light rain, and cloudy skies for Bengaluru over the next seven days. The city is expected to experience mild and comfortable weather through the first week of November, marking a gradual transition toward early winter.
IMD forecasts light rain till November 8
According to the IMD’s seven-day forecast, light rainfall is likely in parts of Karnataka’s capital city until November 8. The weather department has indicated that Bengaluru will see light showers between November 4 and November 6, with the skies remaining generally cloudy during this period.
Daytime temperatures are expected to hover around 29–30 degrees Celsius, while night temperatures may stay near 19 degrees Celsius. Early mornings are likely to remain foggy, with humidity peaking at around 90 per cent, before dropping to about 75 per cent by the end of the week.
Cloudy skies and pleasant conditions
On November 3, the city will experience partly cloudy skies, with temperatures ranging between 19°C and 29°C. Between November 4 and 6, generally cloudy conditions will prevail, accompanied by light rain or drizzle in several localities.
By November 7 and 8, conditions are expected to improve slightly, with partly cloudy skies and no significant weather warnings issued. Overall, residents can expect pleasant afternoons and cool evenings, typical of Bengaluru’s post-monsoon transition.
Early signs of winter in the city
Meteorologists say the current conditions mark the onset of Bengaluru’s early winter phase, characterised by foggy mornings and cooler nights. The combination of high overnight humidity, mild temperatures, and light pre-winter showers is expected to continue through mid-November.
Authorities have advised motorists to exercise caution during early morning hours, especially in areas prone to low visibility due to fog. No severe weather alerts have been issued for the city or surrounding districts.
