Four individuals claiming affiliation with the KRS party were arrested on July 13 near the Sadahalli toll plaza for allegedly intercepting government vehicles and misbehaving with officials over suspicions of improper use of official cars on a Sunday evening.

The incident occurred between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM. The arrested men—Raghunandan, Satish, Rohan, and another Satish—are residents of Yelahanka, Kempapura, and nearby areas. Police said the group had been involved in creating disturbances earlier the same day.

One of the victims, Dinesh P, a government secretary managing the Sri Ghati Subramanya temple, filed a complaint. Dinesh said he was returning home after temple duties when the group stopped his vehicle. “They wore yellow T-shirts and had earlier stopped a judicial vehicle. They questioned my use of a government car on a Sunday. I explained that I was on duty and had no unauthorized passengers,” he said.

Dinesh offered to verify the logbook and CCTV records at the temple office and advised the group to file an RTI if needed. However, they allegedly demanded immediate proof and refused to back down. Dinesh sought help from a nearby policeman, and a Hoysala patrol team arrived promptly to detain the group.

The accused were later produced in court and released on bail. Dinesh also reported that the group had obstructed an ambulance.

Police clarified that while citizens can report misuse of public property, they are not allowed to block vehicles or confront officials directly.
