Bengaluru police have launched a manhunt for two youths after a girl was allegedly sexually harassed while walking on a roadside in the city’s northern division.
The incident reportedly took place at Marutinagar in Kogilu under the limits of Yelahanka police station.
Disturbing act caught on camera
According to police sources, two youths were travelling on a gearless scooter when they passed two girls walking along the roadside. As the vehicle moved past them, the pillion rider allegedly stretched out his hand in an attempt to sexually assault one of the girls.
The shocking act was captured on video, which has since drawn public concern and anger.
Police trace scooter details
Investigators said they have identified the registration number of the scooter seen in the footage. Officials have also traced the registered address of the vehicle owner.
Police teams are now working to locate the youths involved and take legal action against them.
Safety concerns raised
The incident has once again highlighted concerns over women’s safety in public spaces and reckless behaviour by offenders using moving vehicles to target pedestrians.
Residents have urged authorities to ensure swift action and stronger surveillance in vulnerable neighbourhoods.
