A 30-year-old man lost his life in a road accident near JP Park, Mathikere, during the early hours of Wednesday.
The victim, Arun, a Yeshwantpur resident and gym trainer in Yelahanka, had returned home around 10 pm before heading out to meet a friend.
While riding his motorcycle, he lost control, collided with an electric pole, and skidded. Witnesses stated that he was riding recklessly.
Without a helmet, Arun suffered severe head and torso injuries, leading to excessive blood loss. Passersby rushed him to a private hospital in an autorickshaw, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
