Bengaluru: Jithin Kumar S has been selected for the Abhaya Bravery Award 2026 (Season 2) under the category “Budding Politician”, recognising his impactful public service initiatives and tireless efforts aimed at uplifting underprivileged children.
The award ceremony will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5 pm onwards at the Alliance Française de Bangalore Auditorium. The Abhaya Bravery Awards are organised by Team Abhaya in association with the Bangalore Sports Lovers Association.
Recognition for grassroots commitment
According to the official citation, Jithin Kumar S has been chosen for the honour in recognition of his consistent public engagement, social outreach, and emerging leadership focused on children from economically weaker sections. The “Budding Politician” title celebrates individuals who demonstrate early yet meaningful impact in public life through service-driven action rather than position alone.
About the Abhaya Bravery Award
The Abhaya Bravery Award celebrates courage expressed through social responsibility, ethical leadership, and community empowerment. Unlike conventional honours, the award focuses on individuals who work at the grassroots level, often away from the spotlight, to bring tangible change to people’s lives.
Season 2 of the award continues this vision by recognising achievers across diverse categories, highlighting service, resilience, and commitment to inclusive growth.
Ceremony details
The awards night on March 6 is expected to bring together social workers, civic leaders, activists, and community representatives from across Karnataka. Awardees will be honoured for their contributions in fields ranging from public service and education to women empowerment, environmental action, and youth development.
With this recognition, Jithin Kumar S joins a growing list of individuals whose work reflects the core philosophy of the Abhaya initiative—that bravery lies in standing up for society’s most vulnerable and working consistently for their upliftment.
