Bengaluru: A 24-year-old job applicant has been booked by the Bengaluru police for allegedly sending obscene WhatsApp messages, abusive emails and death threats to the human resources (HR) personnel of a consulting firm after he was not selected for a senior position.
The accused has been identified as John Kingsly Nadar, who had applied for the post of Project Senior Manager–Consulting at Baker Tilly One India LLP, based in Domlur.
Repeated messages after recruitment process
According to police, the company had advertised the vacancy in April 2026, and Nadar participated in multiple rounds of virtual interviews conducted in June.
The complainant, the company’s Manager–Employee Relations, told police that the applicant repeatedly contacted the recruitment team on July 2, seeking updates on the status of his application.
When his calls allegedly went unanswered, Nadar is accused of sending obscene WhatsApp messages and voice notes to members of the HR team.
Abusive emails and threats
Police said that even after his mobile number was blocked, the accused allegedly continued to harass senior recruitment officials by sending a series of abusive emails containing vulgar language.
The complaint further alleges that some of the messages also included death threats directed at HR personnel.
Based on the complaint, police have registered a case against Nadar and initiated an investigation into the alleged harassment and criminal intimidation.
Officials said they are examining the electronic communications submitted by the complainant as part of the investigation.
