Bengaluru/Shivamogga: S Ravi Kumar, chairman of the Karnataka Bhovi Development Corporation, tendered his resignation on Friday, citing difficulties in discharging his duties from Shivamogga and alleging a conspiracy to tarnish his image.
In his resignation letter addressed to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Ravi Kumar said he had been serving as corporation chairman since March 15, 2024, implementing government programmes “efficiently and without irregularities.”
Allegations of conspiracy
Ravi Kumar claimed he had identified irregular businesses and indiscipline within the corporation and had taken corrective action. According to him, this triggered attempts to oust him:
“This led to a conspiracy to target me and sack me. An investigation should be conducted into allegations against me and action taken against the culprits.”
He urged the Chief Minister to order a probe by cyber police and FSL teams against those who allegedly attempted to malign his reputation.
