The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) has issued an urgent advisory for the Doni river at Talikot HO site in Bijapur (Muddebihal taluk). According to a circular from the Central Water Commission, the river is currently flowing above danger levels at 501.48 meters, rising by approximately 7 centimeters per hour. The highest recorded flood level is 502.21 meters.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a severe rainfall alert for the next 72 to 84 hours, affecting the Krishna Catchment areas in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. Bengaluru experienced brief but intense rainfall on Sunday, while Coastal Karnataka, the Western Ghats, and north interior Karnataka also saw significant rainfall.

A high wave alert has been issued for Coastal Karnataka for the next 48 hours, with wave heights expected to range between 1.9 and 2.5 meters in Uttara Kannada and Udupi, and between 1.7 and 2.1 meters in Dakshina Kannada. On June 10, Uttara Kannada district is predicted to experience scattered heavy to very heavy rain with isolated extreme heavy rain and thundershowers. Belagavi, Gadag, Dharwad, Koppal, Bagalkote, Haveri, Vijayapura, and Raichur are also expected to see thundershowers with gusty winds of 40-50 kmph.
