Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will launch a new Flybus service connecting Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru with Kozhikode in Kerala from August 15, offering seamless road connectivity for air travellers.
The new service aims to provide convenient transportation between the airport and key destinations across Karnataka and Kerala, reducing the need for passengers to travel into Bengaluru city before continuing their journey.
Two daily services from August 15
According to KSRTC, two Flybus services will operate daily between KIA and Kozhikode.
The buses will travel via Yelahanka, Hebbal, Nayandahalli Metro Station, Mysuru, Hunsur, Gonikoppa, Ponnampet, Kutta, Mananthawadi and Kalpetta before reaching Kozhikode.
One service will depart Kempegowda International Airport at 10.45 pm and arrive in Kozhikode at 7.15 am the following day.
The second service will leave the airport at 4.15 am and reach Kozhikode at 7.30 pm.
Fare details announced
KSRTC has also announced the fare structure for passengers travelling on the new route:
- Mysuru: ₹960
- Gonikoppa: ₹1,200
- Mananthawadi: ₹1,350
- Kalpetta: ₹1,400
- Kozhikode: ₹1,500
Improved airport connectivity
The new Flybus service is expected to benefit passengers travelling between Bengaluru airport and destinations in southern Karnataka and northern Kerala by providing direct connectivity without requiring transfers within the city.
The launch follows KSRTC’s continued efforts to expand its Flybus network and improve long-distance connectivity to Kempegowda International Airport, particularly for travellers from neighbouring districts and states.
