A man reportedly living in a live-in relationship with a social media reels creator died by suicide in Bengaluru, police said.
The incident was reported under the jurisdiction of Rajagopalanagar Police in north-west Bengaluru. Authorities said the deceased was found hanging at the residence he shared with the woman.
Police have shifted the body for post-mortem examination and registered a case of unnatural death. Investigators are examining the circumstances that may have led to the incident.
Initial reports suggest the couple had been living together for some time. Officials are reportedly questioning acquaintances and reviewing digital evidence, including mobile phone records and social media activity, as part of the investigation.
No official statement has indicated foul play at this stage. Police said further action will depend on the findings of the inquiry and forensic reports.
Police continue investigation
Authorities are also expected to record statements from the woman and family members of the deceased to determine whether there were disputes, emotional distress, or other contributing factors.
Police urged the public and social media users not to spread unverified claims or speculation related to the case while investigations remain ongoing.
