A 20-year-old Malayali woman, Valiyaparambath Aswathi, was found dead in her rented apartment on Airport Road in Vidya Nagar, Chikkajala, Bengaluru. Originally from Kallachi near Nadapuram in Kozhikode district, Aswathi was discovered hanging in her accommodation. She was employed at a café in the Bengaluru airport, according to Anees Mohammed, area secretary of the Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre’s Yelahanka unit. The Chikkajala Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating the incident. Following the completion of legal procedures, Aswathi’s body was sent back to Kozhikode for the last rites.
