Bengaluru: A 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a cow at Weavers Colony in Nelamangala on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
The accused, a native of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, had been staying at a relative’s house in the locality. According to police, he was taken into custody after residents reported the alleged incident involving the animal.
Complaints of indecent behaviour surfaced earlier
Residents alleged that, prior to the incident, the accused had displayed indecent behaviour in the neighbourhood. They claimed he had made inappropriate gestures towards a woman, raising concerns among locals about his conduct.
The latest incident prompted residents to alert the police, following which a case was registered and the accused was arrested.
Police begin investigation
Police have launched an investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the case. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
