Bengaluru police have arrested two men in connection with a knifepoint robbery reported from a forest area near KR Puram in the eastern part of the city.

According to police, the accused allegedly threatened a man with a knife and robbed him of valuables, including gold jewellery and a mobile phone, before fleeing the spot.

Robbery took place in isolated forest stretch

The incident reportedly occurred in the Channasandra forest area under the limits of the KR Puram Police Station. Investigators said the accused targeted the victim in an isolated location and carried out the robbery before escaping.

Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and traced the suspects using local surveillance inputs and technical evidence.

Police recover stolen valuables

Officials confirmed that two accused have been taken into custody in connection with the case. Police also recovered stolen valuables from the accused during the investigation.

Authorities are continuing the probe to determine whether the duo was involved in similar robbery incidents in other parts of Bengaluru.

The incident has once again highlighted safety concerns in deserted stretches and forest areas around the city. Police have advised citizens to avoid isolated locations, especially during late hours, and immediately report suspicious activity.
