A 40-year-old marketing executive was discovered dead at his residence in Bengaluru, with initial investigations indicating potential emotional turmoil due to a strained marriage. Authorities have not recovered any suicide note at the scene.

The deceased, Prashanth Nair, held a senior role at a leading technology firm. He is survived by his eight-year-old daughter. His wife, Pooja Nair, employed at another multinational company, had been living separately from him for over a year.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Bengaluru), Saidulu Adavath, stated that no accusations of domestic abuse have surfaced during the inquiry. According to him, the couple had been estranged for some time, and no formal complaint had been filed against Pooja.

In a statement to the police, Prashanth’s father revealed that his son and daughter-in-law had been living apart. He recounted that Prashanth had a verbal altercation with his wife on Friday. Concerned when his son stopped answering calls, he rushed to his home—only to find him hanging from a ceiling fan.

The grieving father suspects that ongoing stress from his son’s troubled relationship might have driven him to take such an extreme step. However, he does not blame anyone for the tragic outcome.

The Soladevanahalli Police have filed a case and are currently probing the matter further to ascertain the exact cause and circumstances behind the incident.
