Medical Student Found Dead in Bengaluru Hostel, Suspected Suicide

A 22-year-old medical student, Lokendra Kumar Singh, was discovered dead inside his hostel room at a government medical college in Bengaluru on Monday. Police suspect it to be a case of suicide.

Singh, a native of Rajasthan, was a student at Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College and Research Institution (formerly Bowring and Lady Curzon Medical College and Research Institute) located on Lady Curzon Road.

The incident was brought to light around 3 pm when Singh’s roommate returned from class and found his body hanging from the ceiling through the window.

The exact reason behind Singh’s alleged suicide remains unknown. Police have informed Singh’s parents, and further legal procedures will be initiated upon their arrival in the city.
