Bangaluru: A man faced police action after a woman raised objections to him clicking a photo of passengers inside a moving metro train. The incident occurred on December 30 and was reported to Jayanagar police.

According to the police, the man, identified as Mahesh, was capturing a general photo of the crowded metro. A woman noticed this and demanded the photo be deleted, stating her face was visible in the image.

The woman contacted the police emergency number, 112, leading to both parties being escorted to the police station. “Mahesh’s phone did not contain any objectionable content; however, the woman insisted on the deletion of the photo,” said a police officer.

A non-cognizable report was filed in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, unverified online claims surfaced, alleging that Mahesh had previously followed and recorded videos and photos of several women.

Authorities confirmed that no evidence of such activities has been found so far. The incident highlights concerns surrounding privacy in public spaces and the misuse of technology.
