A 21-year-old student was allegedly stabbed during the early hours of Saturday following a dispute over a bike accident in Banjara Layout of Ramamurthy Nagar in Bengaluru.

The injured student has been identified as Dheeraj.

Dispute turns violent after bike accident

According to reports, Dheeraj had stepped out to eat biryani when the incident took place around 3 am. Police said an argument allegedly broke out between Dheeraj and a group of men following a bike-related accident.

The verbal altercation reportedly escalated into violence, during which Dheeraj was allegedly stabbed.

He sustained injuries to his back and thigh and was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Three accused arrested

Police have arrested Bhuvan, Mithun, and a minor boy in connection with the attack.

Officials said Dheeraj was pursuing a BBA degree and was also working at Flipkart.

Police sources stated that Dheeraj is currently undergoing treatment and is believed to be out of danger.

Investigation continues

A case has been registered at Ramamurthy Nagar Police Station, and further investigation is under way.

Police are also working to identify and trace any additional persons allegedly involved in the incident.

The case has once again raised concerns over rising late-night violence and road rage-related incidents in Bengaluru.
