Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the BJP’s electoral victories in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry reflect strong public support for the national policies and governance model implemented by the Central Government.
Addressing BJP workers in Bengaluru, the Prime Minister said the election results indicate the mood of the nation and showcase people’s confidence in programmes introduced by his government.
He stressed the importance of a government that delivers efficient governance, provides quick solutions and works towards national progress. Referring to West Bengal, Modi noted that the BJP had once held only three seats in the state but has now formed the government with a significant mandate after years of organisational growth.
Speaking about Assam, he said the people had given the BJP a third consecutive term, while the party also achieved record-breaking success in Gujarat municipal elections.
The Prime Minister further pointed to Kerala, stating that the BJP securing three seats in the latest election has opened new opportunities and strengthened prospects for the party in future polls.
Modi highlighted that the BJP and NDA are currently governing 21 states across India and are focused on public welfare and economic prosperity.
Targeting the Congress party, the Prime Minister accused it of failing women by opposing the Nari Vandan Samshodhan Bill in Parliament, which guarantees 33 per cent reservation for women in legislative bodies.
He also appealed to citizens to stay united and contribute towards national development amid global geopolitical tensions, including concerns arising from the ongoing US-Iran conflict
