Bengaluru: Police have launched a manhunt after an unidentified naked man allegedly attempted to peep into a woman’s house and film her using a mobile phone in Bengaluru’s Ejipura area during the early hours of Wednesday.

The incident reportedly occurred around 12.50 am, when the homemaker noticed suspicious movement on the CCTV feed installed at her residence.

Woman spots intruder on CCTV

According to the complaint filed with the police, the woman checked the live CCTV footage after noticing unusual activity outside her home.

She allegedly found an unidentified man standing naked near the front door. The suspect was reportedly trying to move the window curtains to look inside the house while holding a mobile phone, which the complainant believes he was attempting to use to record her.

The woman immediately raised an alarm after seeing the intruder.

Suspect fled after woman screamed

Police said the suspect fled from the spot as soon as the woman screamed for help.

The complainant was unable to identify or apprehend the man before he escaped.

Based on her complaint, police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage from the house and surrounding areas to identify the suspect and trace his movements.

Investigation underway

Investigators are collecting evidence and speaking to local residents to determine whether the suspect was involved in similar incidents in the area.

Police have appealed to the public to report any suspicious activity and said additional CCTV footage from nearby buildings will be analysed as part of the investigation.

The search for the unidentified accused is ongoing.
