The Kempegowda International Airport Police have registered a fresh case against a Nigerian woman already facing charges in a major drug trafficking case, after investigators allegedly found that she was using a fake passport.

The accused, identified as Fathimah Faty Ndao, 30, was earlier arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) at Bengaluru airport in July 2025.

Fake passport found during probe

According to the complaint filed by Vikas Singh, Sub-Inspector with the Narcotics Control Bureau’s Bengaluru Zonal Unit, the accused was found to be carrying forged travel documents during the course of the investigation.

Authorities alleged that the passport used by the woman was fake and that she had used it for travel and identification purposes.

Based on the findings, the Kempegowda International Airport Police registered a separate criminal case against her for alleged passport-related violations.

Earlier arrested with MDMA

Fathimah was arrested on July 4, 2025, at Kempegowda International Airport after NCB officials allegedly recovered around 2 kg of MDMA from her possession.

The seizure was part of a narcotics enforcement operation targeting international drug trafficking networks.

Following her arrest, she was booked under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and has remained under investigation in connection with the case.

Investigation continues

Police and NCB officials are now examining how the accused obtained the forged passport and whether others were involved in facilitating its use.

Investigators are also probing possible links between the fake document and international drug trafficking operations.

Further legal action will be initiated based on the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
