Hebbal Police have arrested a notorious robber accused of entering a house occupied by a lone woman and fleeing with valuables worth ₹6.70 lakh in Bengaluru.
The accused, identified as Aslam Pasha, was apprehended following an investigation aided by CCTV footage and technical evidence. Police said the arrest led to the recovery of stolen valuables from his residence.
Woman targeted while alone at home
According to police, the incident took place within the Hebbal police station limits when the accused allegedly entered a residence where a woman was alone and robbed her of gold ornaments, cash and other valuables before escaping.
Following the complaint, investigators analysed CCTV footage from the area and tracked the suspect’s movements, eventually identifying and arresting him.
Stolen valuables recovered
Police recovered stolen property worth around ₹6.70 lakh from the accused’s house in Kanakanagar. During the investigation, officers also found links to another theft case within the Hebbal jurisdiction involving gold earrings, silver articles and cash.
History of criminal offences
Investigators described Aslam Pasha as a habitual offender with a history of involvement in several robbery and theft cases. Authorities are examining whether he may be connected to other unsolved property crimes in Bengaluru.
Investigation continues
Police said further inquiries are underway to determine the full extent of the accused’s criminal activities and whether additional accomplices were involved. Officials have urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods.
