Bengaluru: Pavithra Gowda, the primary accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, has been hospitalized due to health issues. She was under custody of the Kamakshipalya police when she fell ill, prompting officials to summon a doctor to the Annapurneshwari Nagar police station this afternoon. Pavithra Gowda has since been admitted to Mallattahalli Primary Health Center for further treatment, said media reports.

In the Renukaswamy murder case, Pavithra Gowda is identified as accused number one, while her friend, Sandalwood star Darshan, is accused number two. The police have arrested a total of 17 individuals thus far in connection with the case.

Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga, was brutally killed at the Pattangere shed in Bengaluru by the accused on June 11. It is alleged that Renukaswamy had sent an indecent message to Pavithra Gowda, who is known to be a close associate of Darshan.

Reportedly, in retaliation, Darshan’s associates brought Renukaswamy from Chitradurga to Bengaluru and allegedly tortured him before his murder as a form of retribution.
