Phase 1 of the SORT (Solid Organic Waste Management and Recycling) project in Bengaluru has successfully converted 80 metric tonnes of organic waste into 15 metric tonnes of compost, as reported by the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) on Saturday. This milestone highlights the project’s contribution to sustainable waste management and compost production.
The project aims to reduce landfill waste and promote eco-friendly solutions, making a significant impact on Bengaluru’s waste management systems. The compost produced will be used to enhance soil quality, benefiting agricultural practices and contributing to environmental conservation efforts in the region.
