Following complaints about inadequate KSRTC bus services in various villages of the Bantwal constituency, Rajesh Naik Ulippadi held a meeting at his office in BC Road with officials from the KSRTC Mangaluru and Puttur divisions.

Shivaraj from Baltila raised concerns about the irregularity of the bus service from Puttur to Neerapade via Baltila, to which Puttur DTO Muralidhar Acharya assured rectification. Upon requests for buses on the Puttur-Mangaluru route to travel via Baltila-Shambhur-Narikombu to PaneMangaluru, officials promised to consider this after August.

R Chennappa Kotiyan and Dinesh Amtur requested bus stops at Kalladka Lower Market, and Vajranath Kalladka requested a stop for Madikeri buses at Kalladka. Anand Shambhur requested the resumption of night buses to Shambhur and Barimar, and the MLA instructed contacting the Mangaluru DC for action. Resumption of bus service to Sarapadi following ministerial orders was also instructed.

Jayaram Rai requested an afternoon bus service to Bolantur, but Bantwal Depot Manager Sreesh Bhat explained that there were no passengers due to the prevalence of auto-rickshaws in that area. Dinesh requested a bus service from Veerakamba to Anantadi. When Sadananda Navoor mentioned the Dharmasthala bus, Mangaluru DTO Kamalkumar informed about a shortage of 425 drivers and conductors in the Mangaluru division. Mangaluru depot manager Manjunath and former BUDA president B Devadas Shetty were also present at the meeting.
