Bengaluru: The parents of Renukaswamy, the victim in a murder case involving Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. They expressed their satisfaction with the ongoing police investigation into their son’s death and requested a government job for Renukaswamy’s pregnant wife.

In this case, the police have arrested 17 accused including Kannada film star Darshan and his female friend Pavithra Gowda. 

Renukaswamy, a 33-year-old Chitradurga resident was murdered for allegedly sending indecent messages to Pavithra Gowda. He was murdered in Bengaluru and his body was discovered on June 9 near a stormwater drain near an apartment in Sumanahalli.

According to his officer sources, the CM responded to the request of the parents of Renukaswamy for a government job for Renukaswamy’s wife. At present all the accused in this case are in judicial custody. The police are preparing to file a chargesheet in the court.
