Bengaluru: A simple search for a fasting meal turned into a touching example of kindness in Bengaluru after a local restaurant owner went out of her way to help a customer, winning praise from thousands on social media.

Nisha Anandani, who was observing a fast, shared her experience online after struggling to order vrat-friendly sabudana khichdi through a food delivery app. With delivery unavailable to her location, she decided to call the restaurant directly using the contact number listed on Google.

What happened next left her pleasantly surprised.

Owner personally arranged the meal

According to Nisha, the restaurant owner answered the call and immediately assured her that the food would be delivered despite the app showing otherwise.

Their conversation, which began as a simple food request, reportedly continued for nearly 30 minutes. When the order arrived, the owner had gone beyond what was requested.

Instead of sending a single serving, she sent two boxes of sabudana khichdi, along with curd and freshly cut fruits, ensuring the customer had a wholesome meal for her fast.

Sharing the experience on social media, Nisha wrote that it was the kindness of people in Bengaluru that made the city special and said the thoughtful gesture had left her “heart full.”
