Bengaluru : RTI activist Srinivas was arrested by the Kadugodi Police Station on Thursday for allegedly threatening to rape a woman. The accused had reportedly been using a private photo of the victim to extort and threaten her, claiming he would post it on social media if his demands weren’t met.
The woman lodged a complaint at the Kadugodi police station on July 1 after Srinivas allegedly threatened her near the Kadugodi metro station. Police have registered a case against Srinivas, who was previously associated with the KRS party. His arrest marks a swift response to the victim’s complaint, sending a strong message against such heinous behavior.
