A shocking incident of workplace-related violence has been reported from Bengaluru, where a salon owner was allegedly assaulted after issuing a termination letter to an employee.

Assault inside salon following termination dispute

According to police, the incident took place on March 28 at a salon in Avalahalli, North Bengaluru. The accused, identified as the husband of a former employee, allegedly entered the premises along with four to five associates and attacked the salon owner, Mohan Kumar.

The dispute is believed to have stemmed from tensions following the termination of the employee, identified as Sushma.

Owner and wife allegedly attacked

As per the First Information Report (FIR), the group created chaos inside the salon, used abusive language, and physically assaulted Mohan Kumar.

When his wife, Srija, attempted to intervene, she was also allegedly manhandled and attacked by the group.

The injured owner was later hospitalised following the assault.

CCTV footage to aid investigation

Police confirmed that CCTV footage of the incident has been captured, which is expected to play a key role in identifying and tracking the accused.

A case has been registered at the Avalahalli Police Station under relevant sections of law.

Accused on the run, search underway

Authorities have launched a search operation to trace the accused, who are currently absconding. Police are also working to establish the sequence of events that led to the altercation.

Concerns over workplace safety

The incident has raised concerns about safety in workplaces and the escalation of disputes into violence. Officials have reiterated that grievances must be addressed through legal means rather than resorting to aggression.
