Bengaluru: Hundreds of vehicle owners whose vehicles were seized and parked at the shed located in Pattangere in the city due to non-payment of vehicle loans are unable to retrieve their vehicles even after clearing the outstanding dues. This situation arises from the high-profile murder case of Renukaswamy, which allegedly involves film actor Darshan and other accused.
Police authorities are not handing over the seized vehicles parked at the Pattangere shed, even after the owners have cleared the pending loan amounts, citing the ongoing investigation into Renukaswamy’s murder. The Chitradurga resident was brutally killed on June 11, allegedly by 17 individuals, including film star Darshan, at the shed.
Since it is a crime scene, police are refusing to release the vehicles, citing the need to preserve potential evidence. Vehicle owners have been informed that their vehicles will not be moved out of the shed until the conclusion of the investigation, according to media reports.
Distressed vehicle owners have shared their ordeal with media persons who were at the spot covering the murder case.
