A specialized investigative team escorted suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna to his residence in Holenarasipura, Hassan district, for an on-site examination on Saturday. Prajwal, aged 33, contested and lost in the Lok Sabha election as an NDA candidate from Hassan and is currently entangled in sexual assault allegations.
His father, H D Revanna, a legislator from Holenarasipura, and mother Bhavani Revanna, are currently out on bail in connection to a kidnapping case related to the abduction of a woman who purportedly appeared in multiple videos depicting instances of sexual assault allegedly involving Prajwal.
Sources within the police department revealed that members of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) conducted a controlled visit with Prajwal, the former MP of Hassan, to his Holenarasipura residence, ensuring stringent security measures were in place. The entire vicinity was cordoned off as a precautionary measure.
Donning a black T-shirt and a facial mask, Prajwal arrived at his residence for the first time since April 27. He had sought refuge in Germany after explicit videos emerged, allegedly depicting instances of sexual abuse involving him. Prajwal, who is the grandson of former Prime Minister and JD(S) leader H D Deve Gowda, returned to India on May 31, only to be apprehended by the SIT, tasked with probing the sexual assault accusations against him.
